Thank you. You're right they are expensive - I got mine a piece at a time. I'd ask for this piece or that for my bd and Christmas. It made shopping for me for my sons very easy

It's pretty! When my son was young we only hung our non-breakable ornaments on the tree for a couple of years. We have quite a few because of the dogs' tails. They're always hung on the lower parts of the tree anyway! Can you do a table top tree? Hope you find a way to enjoy a tree this year!

I won't put mine up for quite a while yet. But I'll enjoy seeing others post theirs in the meantime!

She hates getting her face sprayed. When she was younger and smaller she would go clear to the top. If she tries that now I'm going to be in trouble

The smell of citrus can help keep them away also. I had a tree climibing cat and we used to tuck lemon scented air fresheners around the base on the advice of our vet. It actually worked. Now my cats generally leave the tree alone but I swirl a few orange peels through the lower branches anyway.

Good to know - I will do that as well. Thanks!

Wow, what beautiful trees everyone has!!!!

Well, 7 1/2 feet of shiny silver hugeness has invaded my home. LOL AKA, tree number one. This is for the funky rebel in me I suppose. I will have a real tree up too, probably next week. I don't do much to this one, kinda think it is gaudy enough on its own.

My real tree will have a skirt and all my vintage ornaments. I finally got my living room re-arranged so this monster would fit at about 1:00 last night and then stuck it up. Trying to straighten and fluff the limbs on a 7' 6" tree reminded me of why I got married to begin with.....and he isn't even here to help!!!

Anyway, here is a icky cell phone pic...all I was willing to do when I finished in the middle of the night.

I just saw an offer of a 5 1/2 foot tall white tree on our local free cycle. I'm so tempted. If I had room for a second tree I'd love to have this one somewhere too. I still want my real fir tree in the living room though. I need a bigger house!

I am in the process of getting my tree up right now (taking a snack break). It's 7' of delightful fakeness, but I think it's pretty. It has real pinecones attached and a little spray of "frost" on the tips of the branches. I'll post pics in a few hours.

This is my family tree, I haven't got my DR tree up yet, we are under the weather here...spent most of the day rocking my littlest feller...

I seem to have what he has....anyway
Yes, it's in front of the side door....afterall, I live in a parsonage, and it's kinda small, still have the other front door to use...and I need all the seating possible! Parties and dinners....I've been working on my nativity today, will post a picture of that when finished...
