Some awesome coops out there, and I can learn things from each and every one - thank you so much for sharing your creations

Here is my first building project... mostly built with Farmgirl Power, although Hubby helped with tricky parts - i.e., slider brackets for window cover. He also helped put tin on the roof & hang doors. All in all, I am very proud. 17 two-week old babies in this li'l coop, so we are buying lumber for the big coop tomorrow. They sure do grow up fast!

GotChicken? is that a litterbox in your coop pic? Whats it for? Dust? or just another nest box?

My boss at the comp shop has TONS of old mac monitors that don't work. We've been trying to think of what to do with them to recycle them (everything from fishtanks to cat condos/hideaways).

I decided I want to try using them for nesting boxes. Gonna gut a few this week and try them out.

Always happy to share pictures of my coop. It is about 10 months old now and working out GREAT. I let the girls (6) and roo (1) out during the day to scratch and forage and simply lock the door at night. So far, so good.....

And after it was complete the local newspaper featured it in their paper, HOW COOL IS THAT !

Here is our first coop....built it over the last two weekends...The chickens love that they can be out all day on a rainy day and not get wet!!
