They demand to be be patted, held and rubbed....no doubt. Fattie can get painful about it...she gets harder if you ignore her too. Jealous wench.

No, really .... I need to video these 4 ! You gotta see them. They literally attack me ! They are little brats!

I'm not giving up ..... not yet!

ETA .... Yes, they do better if I sit down and let them sit on my lap!

I have a pip ! One teeny tiny pip ! It is one of Claudia's Delaware eggs. So, I am officially in panic mode. This is when I worry myself silly.

Like, OMgosh, did I get the dates right, did I let the humidity go too high or too low, checking the temp over and over, etc. Then, I get a backache from being arched over the bator and peering in the too small windows and cranking and straining my neck here and there. Oh gezzzz, here I go ..... Gotta go get the Motrin. One pot of coffee half gone already.......

I have Claudia's eggs in one HovaBator, and Cyn's in the other. That will make it much easier, as I can band them after the hatch.

BTW: Cyn, did you like Survivor last night? Who is your pick to win this one?

Kathy- good luck on the hatch!!!!! Pictures!!!! You are going to have more Delawares than anyone in the country!

Anybody have any guesses why Rooster Luke only goes after my hands? Cynthia, did Stewpot Jake start out as a biter? I know I am worrying ahead of time, but holding him and holding his beak works for the day - he gets agitated when its time to lock up for the night and goes for my hands, and it seems that we have to have a little talk about every other day. He is fine when I hold him - he either likes or tolerates my rubbing him when I am holding him - but the biting thing is . . . .I don't knw...it doesn't feel like it's for attention, since I can be talking to him or reaching for him when it happens -there is something here I don't get.

Hugs for you this morning Cynthia- tell the girls we all love them!

Ummmm....I decided to quit admiring Cora's first egg and eat it. I opened it into a small bowl just to make sure it was OK, and it was a double yoker.
