Just know Cyn no matter what we all believe as far as religion goes, science has proved that we are all made from energy. And energy never goes away, it just changes form. So despite everything it has been scientifically proven that there is some kind of afterlife. Look up Quantam Entanglement. It is an awesome theory.
I believe that this theory is what will get Lexie through. It explains that because Lexie and Ivy are so close some of Ivy's protons have rubbed off on Lexie and vice versa. Because they each have some of the other's protons, and these protons communicate back to the original owner they always have a sense of what is going on with the other. Lexie will always be a part of Ivy, and Ivy will always be a part of Lexie even after she is gone, because energy does not cease to exist - it just changes form.
Wherever Ivy's energy goes when it leaves her body, it will take those parts of Lexie with her. When Lexie gets over missing Ivy's physical presence she will feel that and be comforted by it.
So there you go, my scientific, indisputable reason why even our animals will continue on into the afterlife and be there with us. It is because a part of Ivy has rubbed off on you too Cyn and wherever she goes, she will take some of your Proton's too! (This is of course despite my personal belief that everything God made is perfect and will go to heaven because of that)
