Chicken Man I want your bro's number....he and I need to go party sometime, what a riot it would be. I love it that he brought the chicken to you, he knew you'd find her a good home I am sure.

Cyn...Thor sure is a good no nonsense boy. Did you see those swinging wattles? Reminded me of his Daddy.

Kathy...thank you. The yard and beds are a mess right now but they will be better by next year. They sure are loving all the free ranging, they are out everyday, rain or shine. In the rain, they can go in their new big coop, under the back deck, in the garage or the front porch so they do not mind. The ducks love the rain, they just stay out in it. hahahaha

BTW...are all Orp roos' butts so fluffy or does Thor still have fluff to lose? I mean he will be a year old in about 3 months.

Delaware friends, just thought I would take a minute to let everyone know that I am taking a hiatus from the forum for now, if not indefinitely.

I hope all is well for everyone, I might check back in a few months down the road to update y'all on my Dels. Stewart still has some filling in to do and I will eventually need advice, I'm sure.

Thanks for all of the knowledge and support. Thanks to Cynthia for giving me the chance to have some of her and Janet's wonderful stock. I truly cherish each and everyone of you here on the Del thread as if you were a friend I've known forever. Kathy, I'm going to PM you my email address- please keep me updated on your Lav Orp hatch, as I am still going to try to acquire my own lines to begin breeding. I'll for sure miss chatting with you at all hours of the night Kathy!

Farwell.

Hi All- I havent posted in so long. I have been so busy. Life just picks you up and sets you running.
HOW ARE ALL OF YOU? I hope everyone is doing good. My dellie chicks are growing like weeds. I will get some pictures on here soon so you guys can help pick which roos to keep. I just came back from a 9 day driving trip to Colorado from California. OMG, yes with 2 kids and my grand mother. It was a lot of fun ,but stressfull too!
But guess what, when I was in Colorado I found a lady that was selling her cabinet incubator and hatcher, so I purchased them. So I am thrilled with my new toys. I still have to clean them up and test them, but soon I will be incubating as many eggs as I can ever want. YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

CETAWIN- your pictures are wonderful. Your property is so green. LOVE IT! Also, do you think the acupuncture would be good with releaving stress? My husband has been really streesed out and is now staring to get alopecia ? (hairloss). I was just talking to him about trying to find something that would make him relax. What do you think about the acupuncture?

Morning all....broody update!

Looks like I have only 3 chicks at this time. Sugar has 2, the Del chick I gave her yesterday AM and one hatched last night. Cora has 1 chick. The two newest hatched look "black"....not sure where they came from.

Kathy - any chance of getting Lav splits (black chicks) instead of Lav?? Only thing I had the 3 girls sitting one were Dels and Lav orps

Off to Atlanta this morning....have a meeting with a potential BIG customer. Say a prayer for me as I could definitely use a nice boost in business.

Good Morning All

TACEY - accupuncture is pretty useful for just about anything really. It has been used in the East for anesthesia, sickness, stress, pain you name it. I know it relaxes me like nothing ever has. Always worth a try.

Scott....where did those black children come from? hmmmmm who has been sneaking into your coop?

Scott, No, I have no blacks (Lav splits) at all ! Does this mean that one of the Lavenders is not a Lavender? There is no others in that pen, and it is topped with netting. There is no way any one else could get in or out.

ETA: I went back and looked at my records. YES, I did have a black (split for Lav) in that pen. She has been sold, (and of course I didn't write down that date!) and I no longer have her.
