Just have to share what one of the chicks did yesterday. I have the 12 of them in the other room along with another brooder that holds my little goose that hatched a few days ago.
Well the goose is very lonely, all by herself.
So I took one little chick and put her in with the goose to keep her company. I could hear the little Delaware chick getting louder and louder. She was not happy about being seperated from her family and stuck with this big weird looking "chicken"
She was standing on top of the beanie baby last night chirping. Well this morning I go check everybody and somehow that little chick managed to get herself over to the other brooder!
I don't have tops on the because everybody is so small and I am having the two brooders share a heat lamp (1/2 & 1/2)
She jumped ship! I thought maybe she was lost in the room, but I counted and all 12 were resting together. I still can't believe it managed to get over there. That's determination. That's a Delaware!
