Catch up, pant, pant, pant, catch up!!!!
Whew!!!
OK- PopcornKathy- THANK YOU for the wing black pictures, that was a great help to me- I was thinking mine had way too much, but I guess we are fine- the SOP is what I use to try to figure out anatomy, feathers, etc. and their sketch is of a bird with wings folded- and it appears to have about two feathers to the dozen that my kids have. I really appreciate the help!!!
Second, KathyinMo, your Jacob is one fine fellow, and you have LOTS of nice chunky kids in the other batch.. I am very tempted to put my bid in for whichever roo is next best after your keeper choices- I still need another, darker boy for my two line plan!!!
Cetawin, you amaze me. Annie Oakley and Sheena and who else do you remind me of? Congrats on your kill! Get horses, at least three. That will help the yotes think twice about scooting through your property. Or maybe that is just skinny little WI and NC yotes that I know about.
Thor is wonderful. You MUST start writing those books.
Chks- I agree, let those black snakes have an egg or two in exchange for the good things they will do for you- if you can, use the smallest hardware cloth you can find around the bottoms of your coops, and partially up the walls. My grand -daddy used it on the coop itself to keep snakes out.
I need you all's opinions. Lizzie can stand, walk, and run a little now. I am not sure how her stamina is, but I am thinking of sneaking her into the coop tonight after dark - I am only afraid that Luke or Ultrasuede will squish her again doing the roo thing- should I try it? She does not stand normally, her walk is stiff, but she moves fairly quickly. Nervous Nellie mom that I am, I don't want to put her back too soon.
