Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

You have a cool cloth on your forehead? Does napping help? The only way I can get rid of my migraines is sleep-

Cyn

I just had a horrible bout with Migraines myself. Dr gave me Migranal...its a nasal inhaler you use as soon as you notice a migraine. Has helped me BIG time. Downside is that it makes me a little jittery (like too much coffee) and a little nauseous....but the headache goes pretty quickly

I had 5 chicks last year.

The 3 roosters were all very human aggressive and went into the freezer.

The two hens have been laying well, nice extra large purplish-brown eggs.

Their legs were more yellow, but a year of laying seems to have beached them out.

One is going to our small county fair next week. I will let you know what the judge says, as his opinion will be more relevant than mine.

Whitmore Farms is a pleasure to work with.

They have not been as friendly as others have described in this thread, but we raise birds a little more like livestock than pets.

I have 5 chicks from Sand Hill this year, which are still too young to evaluate.

Cyn, so sorry to hear about all your issues and about your bird issues. Hang in there! We are praying for peace, normalcy and health to return to all at your place!

And you really are as wonderful as everyone on here says.

All these migraines running rampant. Scott...have you tried Zomig for yours yet? May want to ask the doc about it...it is an aborter as well. Melts on your tongue and does not give you the jitters...DH takes it first sign of one...if need be he can take another one in 2 hours but no more than 2 in 24 hours. Good stuff so he says.

Cyn, I am so sorry. I know how you feel...the last one I had, I went through a orphine and compazine drip and left the ER with the migraine. It ran its course but not until I had nearly cut my head off 7 days later, Yours is coming from stress and your emotions....I would bank on it. Relax and try not to worry.

I'm considering ordering Dels from Whitmore Farms next spring also- before I got most of my hatching eggs I had thought about ordering chicks from them this year. But I bought an incubator, and about half a dozen hatches later I've got all the Delawares I need this year

Thinking forward though about adding new stock to my lines, I am still thinking about ordering from them. They have a 25 straight run chick minimum, so I might just order hatching eggs.
