Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

AWWW- Kathy that is great! It is inspiring me to make one for myself.I had one that I picked up on craigs list. But I sold it to the next door neighbor kid, because he needed it. So, I need to make myself one. Because I plan on hatching alot of chicks this next spring.

Kathy~
They have been eating out of my hand for 2 days. There are about 4 youngin's that love to use my arm as a jungle gym. (I am positive they are boys.....there is quite a bit of tale tell "roo-ism" going on in the brooder)

Does it surprise you? I mean, have you ever had chicks like this before? I was truely shocked at how friendly Delawares were when I first hatched them. I was used to chicks that, "run for cover," when they see humans or hands in the brooder. It's hard to explain ..... but, do you see a difference in comparison to other breeds?

Yes Ma'am! I see the difference! It's very noticeable immediately after hatch. I think their friendliness and calm dispositions help the other chicks of different breeds that are in with them too.

Beth, I think that would be cool. I love how most of the offspring still look like Dels.

I could start doing some test hatches of Delaware X Blue Wheaten Ameraucana eggs!

Any takers?
