Eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww, gross! I physically can't eat any of that McDung-olds food substitute stuff. Icky, icky

I hope to one day be able to raise/grow ALL my food... One day... It would be a whole hell of a lot easier if I actually owned property

I don't need water or electrical or any other fancy pancy stuff ran out to it either... Well... I'd love access to the information super highway. As it is; my only access to the internet is this tiny lil phone

Pish...I don't eat shellfish either. A bag of rubberbands is cheaper, lol. BUT; steam cooked brussel sprouts prepared with a mushroom sauce sounds yummy!

Trying to show the hackles. SOP says: Medium chestnut red. each feather edged with brilliant chestnut red; lower neck feathers distinctly tipped with black. See the black coming in?

Gorgeous!... Where is the line I have to stand in for your future "pure blood" Dellies?!

Oh; and... I have been browsing leg bands and am looking for a reusable type. Are those color'n'numbered ones reusable???
Thanks

OMG Kathy! They're all drop dead gorgeous! I really like that first BR roo. Is he the same on that you were trying to show his width in the 7th picture? WOW! Talk about 6 ax handles wide!

I love him! And if you ever decide that you don't like him, you can most assuredly send him up to me! I'm sure I can find room to squeeze in one more boy when he's a spectacular as that young man! How old are these new birds? Both the BR and the NHR? The BR look like maybe they have a bit of maturing still to do? And those girls! OMG! Those girls! What lovely colors! I bet DH would like some of those too, knowing how he feels about "red heads"

Kathy, I have my heart set on some eggs from your BR crew in the spring, if you'll sell them to me. BRs are my first love, but I'd love to have some new/better blood in there. When Isaac is gone, I plan to put a BR rooster back as head of the flock and add barred and blue Rock ladies in for my future generations, which I'd like to be mostly Rocks with a few Ameraucanas thrown in since they are some of my sweetest birds. I adore Suede, but when he's gone, he will not be replaced--how could there be a replacement for the Suedenator?! He broke the mold for me. By big, blue, feathered, blueberry pancake-eating teddy bear can never be replaced, not ever.

That Oliver is a big fellow! Chunk-o-rama!

Oliver! I think you are perfect! I want an Oliver baby!!! I wouldn't care if the mom is 8, 9, 10 or 11! But I do like 8 for him. Why fix what aint broken? Ok, sorry, that was a stupid question. But I do love your new birds, Kathy! Very nice looking. How old is Oliver? Will his tail fill out more? I love the way he stands. So regal!

BTW, Del people are great fun! Thanks for the entertainment!

Kathy, thanks for the tail shot, I drooled all over the keyboard!

Those hens are NICE, I think you should name them - they will be sticking around for a while!

Cyn,
You know all you have to do is tell me when, dear friend! You will always be #1 on my lists. If not for you I would not have my Delawares that I love so much.

My plan, with Oliver, is to pen him with 3 of my best "type," girls (working on the barn). 2 in the pictures and Miss Floozy (who flies out of the pen every single day, and has even managed to get her leg band off). I want to wait until spring, but I am looking around right now, and I might see an empty pen I can use now.
