Well good afternoon everyone. There is only two way today could be better, if the guys where here to help with some coop work {they have to tools too} and if my brothers had not left my saddle pad out, it was on the ground sopping wet
.
but today is a beautieful day. I opened both doors to the coop - it has dubles like a barn. Sweetheat will now rush outside with the other birds, and jump right in the mix when they are eatting
she seems much happyer now, and that makes me feel better.
Laney - I can't remember, but I think I hatched out a chick that look like something was not right with the eye, but after a few days it was ok. I was 15 {???} and I used a nightstand with a heating pad and glasses of water, very low hatch rate. I had duck eggs you could see on video when candled that never hatched
maybe that what I'm not too hyped up about getting a battor. But anyways a one eye chicken will be ok, what ever was left of Sweethearts eye is not gone. The eye lid does not open as wide now, so it's hard to tell. we also have a horse that is blind in one eye.
? if a chick is born without an eye is it more likely genetic or just happend that way?
to everyone else I'm glad to see more Dellies! and I love those cute nesting boxs
