Kathy - DH cracks me up when he talks about Isaac and he gets so intense when he reads or hears that the women have bloodied him....he just turns inside out. hahaha

urbanfarmboi - that red plug will help you raise the humidty and keep temps down at the end. Mine stayed in most of the time though...when I had 2 or 3 babies in there, I did not need it out.

Norbit is such a handsome fella...that one has been cute to me from the get go.

On the egg note....Cannonball laid her second egg yesterday and Athena laid her first. Athena's egg is lighter colored from the Del egg so eeasy to tell them apart. I will get new pics of CBs beak and see what you all think. I think she is doing great.

Rwoman - I think the pics are back on page 339 or thereabouts....I have no idea how she did it but she cut her upper beak and peeled a section of it up. She has been in a Dog Crate in Cheyenne's room since last Saturday I believe it was. Scared me to death, I was so afraid I was going to have cull her...but thankfully the cut is not a break and not all the way through. Now it is just long healing process which I pray continues to go well Isaac tried to rip his beak off in a fence the same day so Cyn thinks it is a genetic inclination

I did it. The six Delaware girls are in the main flock. Sunny, Ginger, Nugget (Buff Orps) and Caroline and Miranda (Brahmas), plus Riley, are all in the Del coop. I'll let them have a night in their new digs before loosing Isaac on them. Each one except Riley is wearing a saddle, too, LOL. I'm sure he'll be well, enthusiastic, about the new girls. If they are as easy on him as I think they will be, then he can stay with them and I just have one scabby rooster to worry about. Hopefully, someone will buy the three Delaware girls so there will only be three others to worry about in the main coop with Dutch.

Also, all 18 chicks are in the Firetower with Tiny crying for Daddy, of course. She is fine, she just doesn't know it.

BTW Cyn Thor is having trouble with the ladies, he is so big, he is not "reaching" the spot....Athena is ticked too...she was squatting for him. Poor Thor it is hard to be a Stud Muffin and follow dad's foot prints.
