I bet Ike is having FUN again! New women to woo!

Cyn, your grandkids sure aren't afraid of anything- Jullyen, my black cat, jumped to the top of the coop and then jumped right in the run today while I was cleaning the coop, and Lizzie and a few of the other girls went to investigate absolutely without fear- and the boys never ruffled a feather. It's a good thing Jullyen was raised with the neighbor's chickens, and has some respect, but still! It did make me realize I better put some netting over the coop itself, too, as some stray pussy cat might not be so nice, but I expected squawks and flurries and got nothing-

Well, seems Isaac is still intact this afternoon. Putting in the older ladies seems to have helped. I hope that tomorrow, he'll still be okay, and if so, guess I was right about which girls to put in with the big guy.

I can't wait to start hatching!

Cyn, define "boat load". L0L, am I going to be able to fit them all in my incubator?

Thank you for taking the time putting up with those mean, mean girls to collect eggs for me.

I think I have 27-28 eggs, including one of Meg's, if you want it. (Meg is my huge flaming red RIR/Buff Orp cross hen who lives with Suede, Dusty and Smoky). If they'll fit in the box, they're coming. I don't want to pack them too tightly, though.

Jeremy....if you have to forgo another egg...get that one of Meg's. When I first met Cyn, she showed my a picture of a Meg x Suede baby (grown up) and that has to be one of the most fantastic looking birds I have yet to see. Absolutely incredible. Cyn....you still have that picture??!!

Edited to say - sorry to hijack the Del thread with yet another Suede story!!

I have a Meg and Suede chick! She is growing up beautifully, too!

My Dels are just happy as can be today ... out playing in the sunshine! 65* today!

4 Hawks flying overhead nearly all day. Ha, I have them all covered and safe! Actually, still wiring it down. I got a couple pop doors done, and I am exhausted!
