Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

I emailed the seller. Here is the reply:
That is a white rock. They are sports off Barred rocks and that is how that breed was begun. Less than 3% of Barred Rocks hatch out white. You can use them in your breeding program since they still carry the the barred gene, but I would only use it if it had excellent type. Did I have any markings on that egg? It can only be a barred rock, because I have no other breed on the farm.

And he showed me this picture, of one he hatched in 2009 (in the background):

I first looked at that picture and thought it was an albino dwarf chicken riding on a gigantic roosters back!

That would have been something.

Wow, cool! Kathy, in the future, if you do have a pullet or two in there, maybe I'll get some hatching BR eggs from you. I have only five hens and one pullet. Ivy is dying from internal laying, Lexie is over four years old, Becca and Amanda are over three years old, and I have little Barbara (Fern's daughter) who is almost 11 weeks old. I guess in a year or so, I'll need to add some BR blood in here.

Here's a picture of my beggars such a sweet group they just love treats and come running whenever they see me. I am so disappointed though MurrayMcMurray's birds are not very good and I got a sr which is good only 4 hens the rest are for freezer camp and only one hen is big the others are just small to average.....I hatched out a bunch that are way better but they are only 3 weeks so I have a longer wait. All my MMc chicks are not uniform the type isn't too bad but the quality isn't there at all. Who in California has good ones? I don't really care to show just want good birds it always costs less to keep the best.

Do you want hatching eggs, or live birds? I am considering hatching some chicks and mailing them out, though have my eggs sold for a couple weeks.

BTW: Thanks for sharing your picture with us! We all LOVE the pictures!

You did good this weekend I wish we had something like that close to here. I have 15 pullets coming from Welp tomorrow or Wednesday I ordered them in Feb. I cannot hatch any eggs for awhile going to be gone on my annual all girls trail ride yipee. Then it gets hot here I was thinking about doing more incubating in the fall would you have eggs or chicks then?
