I guess if she DOES go broody that I'll HAVE to put some Del eggs under her!! That's the only thing I haven't hatched yet this year.

Cynthia, did any of your Del girls ever go broody? Or will I have to count on the Orps? I am still trying to find every excuse in the world not to buy a 'bator.

So far, none of my Dels have gone broody. Janet was surprised as Kira came from very broody stock. It's in their genes, but whether it will manifest is anyone's guess.

Cyn, when my dark chick was born I was sure she was black but she is deciedly turning a light color. ? a blue after all. The pics will help. I even wonder if she is not Velvet's daughter, Megs girl from you. Her eggs look just like the ones of the other orps. so I could have gotten one in there. If so and she is female, Stormy will have another big lady to love up too.

Watch out for Hughes Net. They will meter your service down if you use it too much. They won't actually admit it, but they do. If you go over your usage allowance, they meter you down for the next 2 days to 'make up for it' . Of course, they won't tell you that there is an actual usage allowance.

Needless to say, my Italian DH had a screaming (cursing) fit with customer service before they would actually admit that they did indeed reduce your bandwith. Sooooo, we had dial up for 2 years after that. Then glorious DSL became available.

HOORAY!!!! My Lavender Orpington project birds started laying today! I got 2 eggs and there is one on the nest! YIPPPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!
