Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

Chks-Sheesh- My roos chase the girls and each other around and grab the girls by the neck for several minutes each morning-keep us posted with the hatch!

Kathy-I am 56- no grandkids yet- I figure by the time my stepsons get around to it, I won't even have the wherewithal to chase down any chickens my grands would let out, much less kill myself falling off trampolines. You deserve a big easy chair, a nice cool drink, and someone to fan you and feed you grapes- in short, the Ivy treament!

Harriet is still on those Dellie eggs!!! I think it's Day 12 or 13. . . . . .

Thor thunks them on the head and herds them home. He will also go get them if I point at say "Thor go get that/those girls and bring them back"...he charges after them and brings them back.

Great pictures. Again Kathy, I aspire to be a grandma like you. I just found out, I will have a grandpuppy by next week. I get to practice in the end of July when they bring her home for a visit.

Will this crud never end? He had a swollen toe around one nail for a bit-Ladyhawk saw it. We pulled the skin back and packed stuff inside to combat infection. Figured he got something under the nail and the toe sort of turns outward a bit, like buckle toe, so the side hits the ground. It looked about the same two days ago and I even commented that we should work on that toe again, but then my well pump went bad and we had that huge repair going on. Today, Ike jumps on a roost by me and I see a black mass, but realize, it's his toe and the nail is gone! I grabbed him and ran to the house and DH debrided the dead skin in peroxide (yes, I know, but this was a big emergency ) We packed it with antibiotic ointment, bandaged it and gave him a cc of penicillin, but DH is afraid that he will lost his toe and if it's gone systemic, we'll have to put him down. I'm beside myself right now.

Why my sweet Isaac? This is awful. I'm afraid he has gangrene. All the rocky awful ground we have just gives them bumblefoot all the time and now this. On top of that, I see that the 3 Dellie witches have been nibbling on his wattles again.
