The Ike report: We checked his toe, scrubbed it gently with chlorhexadine soap and the big black scab came off when we pulled on it. Underneath was good circulation--it bled well. We slathered the triple antibiotic on it again and bandaged it and he is in the hospital cage for a day or so till the bleeding stops. Looks as if it will heal up just fine. He got a spur and toenail trim at the same time and crowed six times in my arms. Silly Isaac. He's a sweetheart.

ETA: Thanks for the update Cyn. I'm so glad to hear that he won't loose the toe and is well on the way to a complete recovery. Don't ya just hate it when they give us scare like that!!
