Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

I hear Sand Hill has decent Delawares.
Delawares truly interest me, I might try and get some if I can locate some local.

The link above is video of my Dels from Sandhill. If you search back through my posts, you'll find photos also. From what I've been told, they have some common faults but they are ok to start with.

My older ones came from Zephyrcreek last year. Hers came from Sandhill. This pic was taken last year before they were full grown.

Here is a link to the thread about Sandhill. Everyone has their own opinion. Some are happy, some not so happy.

Kathyinmo and I traded chicks a while ago and I am super excited about this one pullet Del from her.
I have lots of large birds in this grow out pen...her NH's and BR's, my Marans, Wyandottes and Ameraucanas.
She is one of the largest in this pen of 11 week olds...including most of the roos.

Besides her nice size I like her tail and leg color. I know it is way early, but
sometimes a few winners stand out...

This is the group in the grow out pen...coming to greet me

Kim,
Thanks for showing your Dels. I really enjoyed that video.

i thought the sandhill hens looked pretty good but the rooster should have more barring in the hackle and tail? at this time we have some from joletabey, whitmore, and a local breeder. was going to get some from sandhill but they were sold out this year. i think we are good with the bloodlines we have but may add something later on.
