Shug is doing wonderful! She has had the babies out exploring but today it was a bit cooler so she kept them in and under the "cover's"

I am surprised at how well she is doing too.

Is it normal for a pullet to have what looks like the beginning of spurs on their legs? I have a hopefully pullet I was told was a roo because of the bumps. She is the best of all my birds and loves to cuddle with me. Would it be ok to post a few pics of her for help? She is about 12 weeks old. I must get more as I think she is the prettiest of all my birds

i got her at my local feed store
she will be 6 months old on the 15 i think shes laying but its hard to keep track

she is such a sweetie i wanted two but he ordered cornish crosses neather him nor i could tell them apart
so i got one of her and one cornish cross maybe next year.

Moodlymoo- it happens sometimes. There is a member here, Cetawin, who has a hen with HUGE spurs. I am sure she would share a picture with you.

Evelle- I love their personalities, too, they are just good, friendly birds to have around. If you want more, you could check the Delaware Poultry Club website for breeders near you, then you would know what you were getting for sure.

Don't you just love it when they do that? I go in the coop to see Shug and the babies and she will come up behind me and start pulling on my clothes because she wants all of the attention.
