I have a breed question...

While at our first poultry show today I noticed nobody had Dellies...why is that?

I was shocked there were no dellies. I find them to be the most beautiful. Now...my dream bird would be a Dellie the size of a Jersey Giant. Do they exist?

Probably not, at least not that I have heard. There are bantam Dels, however. The breed was recently on the critical list, so they are not a common bird, I have not seen too many at shows either. A lot of us are still struggling to get our birds to the SOP, they are not the easiest to breed.

Is there a count of people bringing Dels to Crossroads? Has anyone been keeping track? I was for a while, but lost count! If you are going, meet up at the Delaware club table on Saturday at 11:00 am if you can -

I know, Walt, I fell for some last year in Ohio and started thinking ...then DH dragged me away. They were magnificent, and so were the turkeys!
