She holds her tail feathers all together to where her tail looks like a wedge instead of being all fanned out where you can see all of the individual feathers.

Pinched tail is not a desirable trait, but most Dels have them. The pullets I selected for next year's breeding have pretty open tails. You want them to be kind of tee- pee like when seen from behind. ......stan

yeah this year i chose my breeders for teepee tails and yellow legs with the bowl shape and ended up keeping one male and one female.

Wish I had kept enough to choose for tails and legs. Just sold too many chicks. By the time I got around to selecting my keepers, most of the better ones were gone. Lesson learned, pick mine FIRST!!

yeah, i let a few chicks go too and probably would have had more to choose from. the others were culled and eaten. the chicks that i will hatch this spring should be even better and a larger number of non culls, though.
