Show off your diy coop!

My coops aren't fancy but serve their purpose. Each one is different built over a number of years.

Ours started as a tractor, but isn't very movable now, last time I tried to move it over to clean under I snapped the handle in half lol - the original plan was for the upper part to be half the size, but realistically we free range anyway so we are working on a walk in coop now

These are all amazing, some great ideas to take from when I build my coop this summer.

But I have to ask everyone here, including the people that are in the process of building one, was there a price limit to your project of building your coop or did you go pasts it after it was all said and done?

This made me giggle.....I think most everyone spends way more than they intended. Its virtually impossible to think of every little eventuality, unless you're a builder of course. I planned, planned, planned but still went over. But more importantly is building it correctly and big enough in the first place. In the long run that is the most cost effective way. oh ya, and seriously, make your perfect plan for your perfect chicken house and then double the size and you should be golden. Chicken math is real :old
