Show off your duck houses!!

I am wondering,... I have this nice dog house that i was thinking in converting into a duck house,.. its only for two ducks and its about 5ish by 3 1/2 ish by about 4 feet tall,.. what you see is an enterance and theres a door (with no door) on the left going into the house. i was thinking of leaving the water and food out in the entrance so that the house stay cleaner and id have to cut a panel ain the back wall and make a door to access the inside for easy cleaning and make 1 or 2 little vents up top. Its completely insulated but id put a poultry wall heater inside as well. Id like to put wheels on the bottom or skiis so i could bring there duck house into the garage during our harsh winters.

its hard for me to be creative because our winters are so terrible here it must be insulated like crazy and i have many predators around,.. So it has to be tough, extremely warm and 100% safe.

...and easily accessible by the keepers.
Don't skimp on ventilation for increased 'warmth'.

Creativity can be expressed through your provision for your ducks’ needs in your climate. My duck house and pen looked cute when it was completed, but it’s now had ducks living in it and tarps zip-tied to it and has been baptized with copious amounts of poop, so it just looks like a duck compound, now. I keep it clean, but it would never make it into any magazines.

I grabbed a huge (free) wood trellis off the curb when someone nearby was renovating and I will be painting it and putting it up a couple of feet from the side of the pen facing our backyard and supporting it with braces attached to the top of the pen. I’ll be planting vines or shrubs to act as a windbreak for the winter storms and to give us some visual screening on one of the sides. Our ultimate plans are to put in a pea gravel patio and walkways and a kitchen garden to supplement our vegetable garden. So the trellis will give us that little bit of separation between the two areas.
