~Name: Peaches
~Age: Unknown, she was a rescue. Probably 1-3 years though.
~Egg color (if any): little blue eggs. Not bantam, but smaller than my other EE’s.
~Fun facts: she was an impulse buy. We saw a beautiful Easter Egger at the feed store and couldn’t resist! She’s bottom of the pecking order and is a little scruffy, but is a total sweetheart. She likes to go broody and sit in laps.

~Age: Uh maybe 2 now?
~Egg color (if any): I don’t even know anymore. I insist they’re blue but my mom says green.
~Fun facts: When we got her her tail had been pecked off. This picture is from right after we got her because I don’t have any more recent good ones...

Loving all the pretty birds!
My EE are two of my favorites.

I have Maude (on left), she’s about 1.5 years old, and lays light blue/slightly green tinted very large eggs! We’ve had her since she was two months old. She has a strict no-touching rule, but will gladly take treats from our hands!

Then there’s Henrietta, age unknown, somewhere around a year? She also lays light blue eggs, but very small ones! We’ve only had her for about four months, but she’s a great little hen. She came to us very wild and ferocious, so we referred to her as “Henrietta hellion” for a while. Since then she has calmed down significantly and is about as crazy about treats as the rest of them.

Here are my EE girls! They are almost 6 months old and they have been laying now for 3 weeks! And doing a fantastic job! All our EEs lay green and blue eggs and I even get olive eggs as well!

Eggs for the day The oblong pale egg was our White Orphington's first egg and most of our girls are laying for their first week! On her second day, she laid a beautiful brown egg and it was much bigger than the rest!!

I love seeing all of these beautiful EEs and their gorgeous eggs. I still can’t believe what a miracle it is to get these presents every day from the nesting boxes. I love my chickens whether they lay eggs or not, but I really do get such a kick out of finding them, cooking them, or giving them away to neighbors. I NEVER feel this way about produce from our garden!

I love the colorful eggs, too. There’s just something so fun about the mix of blues and browns! I’m at max chicken capacity for now, but at some point I still need an Olive egger and a white layer!

I used to have about 20 EE’s but I gave them all away! (WORST MISTAKE EVER!!) So that’s why I got some EE eggs and hatched chicks! I missed my colorful egg basket each day!!

i have no clue why, but ever since her sis died she has been very flight.. She is very calm once you pick her up though!!! (she is probably WAY more friendly than the average chicken (especially for her young age) but i hold mine every day and am shocked how much 2 of them still are weary of me! (i also give them treats frequently...)
