I do believe the Madagascars from Ideal were originally from a breeder of authentic Mads, but I do believe they have infused some layer blood in them, (turken maybe) to increase their profuction and their genetic vigor. More than likely "gamefowl" in name only, shouldn't have to worry about introducing them into a layer or barnyard flock. They are close enough to pass for them, but if you are interested in getting some real things from a breeder, shoot me a pm and I'll give ya some info.

Looks like you got yourself some nice American Gamefowl there. Like CUDA said, impossible to tell what family/strain they are, but they are some nice pea combed black breasted reds. Chick coloration varies due to the blend of lines that goes into the various strains. Good luck with them, and feel free to ask us any questions you may have, we'll be more than happy to help...
I asked this question on another thread about these but still didn't get much info. Thought I would try here- They seem kind of gamish but maybe more like a cornish game. Here's the article that feathersite has - The old English Pheasant fowl- http://feathersite.com/Poultry/CGK/OEPheasFowl/BRKOEPheas.html
Just wondering if they were related to the OEG or maybe had . They seem to be a fine looking breed and hope I can find more info about them.
What I would like to see are pictures of China Games- I've fell in love with the pictures ever since I first saw them on feathersite. From what I've read and heard, they are very game and also a longtail. Would love to hear from people who raised or have raised them and would really love to see PICS!!!! Hoping that sometime in the near future I can get a start of them. I'm also really impressed with Sid Taylor Black games!! If I've said anything lame or anything because I am Naive , Hope everybody will overlook it!!! LOL
These birds are so pretty! I didn't really know about them, and I never knew they were friendly enough to actually keep as a pet. They are beautiful, it makes me want to get a some!
What games are more known for friendliness? Or does it all depend on the lines you get them from?
