Show Off Your Games!

I am thinking Golden Duckwing for color and I was looking at pics of Games and the China Games look a lot like this! If it was a cross of Cubalaya i would think the tail would be carried lower, i was thinking maybe a American Game crossed with Cubalaya or Sumatra!!! He is gorgeous no matter!!! Lynn

He is gorgeous!!! What color would you call him? What are you mating him up with? Pics??? Lynn

His color is a rich deep golden duckwing. (Sorry these aren't game chickens).
These are the ones I've bred him too. The blue hen is 75% cubalaya, the smutty wheaten is his sister, the 2 wild type blue goldens are 1/2 cubalaya and the mottled hen is a full blooded disqualified cubalaya, disqualified because she has yellow legs and a yellow beak, the legs and beak on cubalayas are supposed to be white except on blacks and blues and those are supposed to be slate colored. The blue hens' legs are a whitish-slate.

That mottled pullet looks like she turned out to be decent size. Very pretty even if legs yellow. I also wanted to add it's possible your gold duck wing is pure bred but a just has the wrong tail and comb.

She is actually very nice, I'm glad I have her. I'm wondering what her tail will look like after this years' molt. I've got over 50 chicks out of her this year. Right now she's raising 15 of the 16 chicks she hatched 3 weeks ago.
Gallorojo, I've wondered what the chicks would look like if she was mated to your spangled male.

That mating would give you a mix of pure white, white with black spots, black mottled, spangled wheaten, and spangled red pyles. You can do that later with your mottled males.

The Jerezano is gorgeous, Is this a breed of Gamefowl, a variety of American game, Spanish? Can you give some more information on them, I love them, do you have pics of the hens? Are they pure bred? Do you sell and ship eggs?
Troyer do you have a bigger pic of your avatar, is he yours, what is he??? Thanks, Lynn in Okla.
All the info I have ever found on the Jerezano is "The Jerezanos were developed in Jerez de la Fronter, Spain by crossing Old English Games and Spanish fowl; Which is why they may be found in more colors than the typical black breasted red or grey color Spanish fowl are most often seen in." The Spanish strains are very difficult to find information on by merely searching the Web, I tried contacting a few Spanish breeders sometime back to help with the Spanish game strains history but was ignored by all I contacted except Al Sanchez (who is the main one I know of having Jerezano) which mentioned he'd see what he could do and I didn't hear anything back from. Guess he was busy; come to think of it I haven't seen anything of him anywhere like I use to. Hope he's alright.

God bless,
Daniel.

Thanks Greybear23, like DTchickens posted "The Jerezanos were developed in Jerez de la Fronter, Spain by crossing Old English Games and Spanish fowl". They are "spanish type game fowl, what I mean by that is they are smaller than my Sweaters. Last time I weighed the Jerezano he was 4 pounds. He is suposvily pure but so few people know much about them and its hard to find info on them I would not swear to he is. From the very few pic I have found online he looks good to me. Regardless he is a good looking bird. I cross him to a red spanish hen last december and hatched out about eight bitties, but lost a few to varmits because I free range till they turn. I have four hens and a stag that made it. I just sold the stag. Anyway I just got the Jerezano last summer. I didnt ship eggs from them this year because of have only hand full of hens I didnt want eggs to go to long. I should have plenty of hens to be able to ship eggs next Feb.
I just recently shipped chicks to a fellow backyardchicken member of ours last week. Here is some pics of what the offspring looks like..
