I have never dubbed a rooster, but I can tell by the size and girth of a typical single comb that it is difficult. The single comb seems so sturdy almost like cartalidge. Whereas the pea comb seems more like the waddle; thin and floppy.

Our 20 week old hatches (there are 11 of them), can't believe how fast their growing :eek: It's hard to get a good picture :(

How old would you guess these two are? (lighter one is a pullet and the darker is a stag)

I was gonna tell you the other day those look kinda like the "Flarry Eyed Gray" ... an old breed of gamechickens (still some around)
They could very well be. Half of the photos I can find of them look really close and he has red eyes. I will put up more photos when he gets older.
