Show Off Your Games!

Here's mine that I took in earlier this year. Original owner said he couldn't afford to keep anymore

What kind of game birds are these? They don't trust me very much but the darker one does get closer to me and eats out of my hand.

They are definitely American Games... Looks like one has yellow legs and the other has green legs... Do you know if they are related? I would suspect they are hybrids of different games, since the colors are fairly homogeneous (common hybrid color). Maybe a Kelso, Radio or Yellow leg Hatch hen

Thanks for responding. I'm not sure if they're related, they're almost always together and I know they grew up together. What size eggs do they lay? I'm assuming small. I'm guessing they're less than a yr old since they haven't gone into molt.

Thanks, I've been breeding greys for a very long time! I've never purchased a grey in my life; the family was given to me many years ago. They are Mr. William's birds (WT Greene). I made those two, the top pic is still in my brood pens now.

Got an article in one of my old magazines on his greys, he was quite the gamefowl breeder. Great looking birds, of course always liked the greys myself.

Bluface....those are nice grey. I like the high station with shorter legs on that 1st one..they look solid and im betting game . Are they hatch infused by any chance ?
Nope, no hatch infused or no hatch that I kno of and I can track the blood back to Mr. William's own hand. He never admitted to adding blueface to them that I'm aware of.

Yes he was! Mr. William was a great man, a good breeder and loved his birds. What I loved is that he let his birds do the talking and didn't try to talk them up to be more than they were. Thanks for your kinds words! They are most definately a fixture on my yard for many many years to come!

blu,

What about your the Asil? You still keeping that same line you had when I saw you in Ohio (Lucasville) several years back? If so, post some new pictures. Those were quality birds.

Oh my asils.....those are good birds too! I've got them and they are doing great. I've got a few other lines as well. They are good birds also. I can get pics. I'm going to begin showing them once again and am hoping to really push the breed.
