Show Off Your Games!

To add to what pc told you. Many Games have picked-up names along the way as a means to sell them. A good example would be Hatch chickens. These are named for one man, Sandy Hatch. When you look at all the birds called Hatch today and the variations within those birds you begin to realize that 99.9% is nothing more than a figment of someone's active imagination: names sell chickens. Pay little to no attention to names. Chicken people are only bested by fishermen when it comes to lying.

Two rules that will help you navigate your way through the world of chickens. Remember them and you'll be head and shoulders above the rest:

Rule #1: Chickens die.
Rule #2: Chicken people lie.
Exactly... There is an abundance of craiglisters in my area that sell gamefowl... It seems they are all obsessed with selling birds with names and leg bands. Instead of showing pictures of healthy birds they show a close-up picture of the legband.

All Americans Games are a mix of something.... Asil, OEG, Wild Jungle Fowl... Etc... Just like American people (I am an American, but my dad is Russian and my mom is a mix of English, Welsh, German, etc)... but even Russians are a mix of Slavs, Nordics and Turks. Same with English (Anglos, Saxons, Celtics, etc).

Trying to keep something pure is contrary to the natural order of life. Strains are temporary categorization tools and thats about it.

Rule #3: Chickens evolve

Hey shubin if you come across some leiper hatch let me know. Looking for some far away from me.
I will breed some Leiper's this coming spring, if your interested in chicks/eggs from my stock.

I might be able to get my hands on grown birds (from local breeders) if your interested in that instead. I have never shipped poulty across state borders tho.

I dont know whats more beautiful...the hen, or your location lol
The hills should have been green with grass by this time of year, but 2013 was the worst drought in California's recorded history.

Thank you tho for the compliments.

Short Video for all to enjoy! let me know which hen/rooster stands out as exceptional quality (in your opinion). I know which ones I like, but I am curious to know what other people like.

Wow! Here in s louisiana it's just flat and pine trees which I hate they become missles during hurricanes. Although the marsh and swamps are pretty cool as long as you don't get lost.

I've got some frostbite issues on some 4 1/2 month olds that I was going to let get a little bigger before dubbing, should I go on and do it or let them heal up and then dub them, or just go with the natural frost dub?
