As in the mention topic from pc I'm curious as what I could call my line of fowl which is 3/4 aseel and 1/4 toppy? Trying to come up with a breed name any suggestions.

I meant like putting a name to them like bob bennet gray or hatch gray or kelso. If I'm trying to breed my line what can I call them? Asil grade is the type. Could I put my last name to the breed I have or is that silly?

I think that would be cool, if you could get it to stick. For the name to be popular you would have to sell to a large number of people, and those people would have to keep that name going, when they go to a derby or when selling offspring from your line. You have a unique looking "breed" that could possibly become known if you sell to the right people in the gamefowl world. Obviously your fowl would have to be good quality too for them want to pass it along.

When you sell chicks put leg bands on them with your last name or whatever name you come up with.. see if find any "Alroy Topiseels" on craigslist in a year or two lol

See PraireChickens opinion about naming breeds in on the previous page. Very good post!

I was thinking the same thing about topiseels lol that's too funny how we thought the same thing. Where do I get leg bands? And what should a person look for in quality?

Look online for legbands, they come in different styles, but aluminum is popular because you can engrave or punch names/dates on it... need an engraving tool or letter punches to mark the legbands tho.

As far as quality that is up to the breeder/customer and what they intend to use them for... since they are not APA standard they wouldnt use them for show, so it would be for cross breeding, pets or illegal reasons. Or when we start the Gamefowl Olympics, they could be used for that reason. lol https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/836590/new-opportunities-for-gamefowl

Quality can be specific or general. I look for general quality as I dont have any specific requirments/traits that I am aiming to acheive. I just look for strong, fast and athletic, with good feathering and body structure/size. Temperment and gameness also come into play.

Basically if you had a gamefowl try-outs, which ones would you want on your team? I go by intuition, as I have no real tests or method of picking the best.
