Well I hope tomorrow to get baby pics up of our new chicks that hatched out today. Just figure I will let them dry off, and then give them plenty of food and water and rest for awhile before I start taking pics.

That may depend on how many I have, if I have to many cockerels I will have to let a few go. Girls I can use, but boys I want 1 or 2. Then next year I plan on hatching out some more eggs from them and having more.

I put it in the hova and a week from hatch its looking good I'd like to get some kelso, miner or muggs or crosses of such to take to that

I am learning so much with these chicks. like the fact that they don't eat out of the feeder but ill peck at the food on the floor and eat it.

The last baby, #3 is the first one to start eating. The older 2 started pecking hen they saw the little one do it. It is so cute watching it because it is so tiny it can't stand for long, so it pecks then lays down and pecks. And the older one just found out what the waterer is for.

It stuck it's foot in it, and started peeping like it was killing it. I put their beaks in it earlier but this was a shocker for that one.

Yeah that's what do with hatchlings I grind starter finer and pour a line on the shavings. Makes them scratch for it too to get them moving

Yeah they are pecking at it, even when lying down. I crumbled some of it finer, so they can swallow it better and they just keep right on waking up and pecking. then fall back to sleep.
