Those Belgian Gamefowl are huge ! The Grand Combatant du Nord ( Great Northern Fighter) from Calais might be related ?

northern Fighter is a french breed, Bruges is in Belgium, anyway, they could be related, maybe, the first one participate at the second one creation

northern is also more "chubby", with shorter legs and neck, lower wings and is known as a more ancient breed
