They are Lloyd miner old line blood that's the only solid blue cock the others look like this and came out of Mississippi. Was told by an old cocker that these look like the ones mr Lloyd fought when he first got big in Oklahoma when his fowl were mostly white.

I also just shipped eggs to a granddaughter of a man that's about to turn 90 and she said these were his favorite fowl and loves to talk about them. I hope it goes well it'll be a nice surprise for his birthday

I have had more than I care to admit get into fights through wire. Damage to feet, head and sometimes bill is a considerable yet such birds are typically able to stand just fine. That bird has little or no damage evident to feet or head so reason he is down now is not related to fighting through wire unless he is extremely infirm. He has the chickens version of polio.

He actually has cuts on his feet on the bottoms of them, and one long cut down one leg. His joint is swollen in that leg, and is hot to the touch. I worked for a vet clinic for 12 years I know a sprain when I see one. At first I thought maybe a break, or a dislocated hip, but once he was checked it was a very bad sprain. But I had to look at it to see, looking at him from a distance doesn't help me to see the issues. In fact the hind toe is almost cut all the way through. I had a big rooster 2 years ago break his hind toe, he hopped like a kangaroo for about 3 months. Nothing at all like seeing a 20 pound rooster hopping like a kangaroo. We had a neighbors kid that would throw rocks at him, the kid found out real soon, that even hopping he could catch up real fast. That kid never did throw another rock at him after that.

I like that one. He is beautiful. However if I had him in the yard people would be wanting babies left and right.

I can't keep up with folks that want my big roosters babies already.

Thanks yeah I'm pretty much sold for the year on eggs and whatever I can hatch. Right now I'm saving myself up an incubator hatch of around 40 or so then I'll be back selling. The only problem is that I don't know what they'll look like til there first big 6 mo. Molt cause they change color a couple times before then. So I can't promise they will look like him.

I know, we noticed that with some of our cockerels last year. Luckily we were just raising them for meat but they changed colors so much I couldn't believe it. Only 2 at 6 months old looked like their dad which wasn't a good ratio out of 25. However they all were huge like him just not as pretty.
