Have you been throwing feed in with him immediately after he attacks? If yes, he likely thinks attacking you get him food. Some of mine do not attack but they start climbing sides of pen as if starving when I walk through with pen. It gets to be aggravating because I like consistency in behavior as I walk down feeding as that is a good time to guestimate overall condition without actually pulling a bird out.

if he's a brood cock and not for sale I'd cord him and save my legs a hurting. I make runners with pvc fishing leaders and cup hooks on a length of cattle wire so they still get exercise

I have him in a flying pen 4x4 and evenings weekends I take him and his hen out of the pen

The small ones were all feathered. The breast was also a lot smaller and head not so large relative to size of body. Naked, the dinosuar would have same problem the naked chicken has. It could not keep its body temperature up when is got cold at night.
