Show Off Your Games!

Post a picture of your toughest gamecock... the one that would destroy all the others on your yard. In your opinion

this oeg runs the yard, he may not be game per game standards, but like someone said, "he has a lot of heart"

and, I wanted JShubin to check out all that grass, lol

I have eggs hatching tomorrow various breeds.one hatched yesterday two full days ahead of schedule. The difference with that egg,is it came from a game hen killed by a hawk. It was in the body a day or so before I cut it out. Could the body heat of that hen start the incubation process. Making it hatch 2 days early?

I don't know that it would have that much affect, as the body cooled, the process would slow right down, obviously something helped it.
congrats on hatching it, I tried that last year with 3 eggs after the dogs hit me. I didn't have any success

Jon, I have oeg too, what town are you in Pennsylvania. Do you get the lake effect snow like buffalo does?

Hi maranfarmer563, I'm close to Meadville, about 40 miles south of Erie. Halfway between I80 and I90, 2 minutes from I79
we only got about a foot, foot and a half maybe, thankfully.
this is called a geological transitional area here, if I go west a couple miles, it flattens right out, east, and I am into the foothills of the Appalachians, north about 15 miles puts me into the great lakes watershed and the lake effect, south about 35 miles(about I80, Mercer County), and there will be little to no snow
it has been bitterly cold at night, and very cold during the day, I'm sure there will be comb damage
I see you on quite a few other threads, and noticed you are in Athens(I think from the smithies thread). my sister and her family lived over there for awhile, she was an assistant district attorney, her ex husband was the superintendent of schools. she is in Venango county now, he is out in Michigan.
the chickens don't like the snow at all, less than me, lol
changing water out 3 times a day is not fun

Coming out of molt nicely
