Show Off Your Games!

I am sitting in living room with a bullstag trying to calm him for tomorrows show. Bugger has unfortunately been named "Peanut" by kids. He is second bird brought in for this. Daughter of 1.5 years deflowered the first pick by pulling out his tail. Hard to type when kids, rooster and dogs messing around. Wife is shortly going to find stag got into a disagreement with bathroom mirror which main reason I am under radar.

I had to read that twice before I totally understood what's happening lol. Come back and see us when u get a moment which dosent seem soon lol. If u can have some pics taken for us. The show that is.

I will take a camera. Pictures should not be a problem but will be my first time attending so they will be skeptical of me possibly. I am not of this area.

My main purpose is to meet other keepers that have more experience with tie cords and the like. I am also wanting to see if anyone has birds suitable for refreshing one of my lines. Three lines I have been closed better than 30 years and one I would like to experiment with crossing to a Hatch or Albany based line. Prefer to do so with stag from a tightly bred family that is still sound.

Oh I thought it would be one of the show and tell kid type shows not an actual show show. An outsider taking pics would raise a red flag especially if you're trying to get connections. So on that note I retract the take pics.

It is a proper show of the Missouri Gamefowl Association, I have been looking forward to it for a two years trying line up a time without scheduling conflicts.

Thanks again for the input, i was mainly wanting to cross my roo with one of my layers just get a good brooder, my last stock (Americaunas) never would hatch eggs for me, they would set for about 7-8 days and then get off of them. So i had to get an incubator, if these RiR's i got become good brooders i wont worry about it and will just get me a game hen and try to breed for color later on.
The offspring from crossing your gamecock onto your layers will produce excellent broodies, but all the cockerels will most likely be major trouble makers. They generally are not worth keeping around, unless you get rid of the game cock and just keep a young rooster. It seems the crosses (cockerels) get into more trouble than either straight bred parent.
