The colors really doesn’t make a difference. Yeah they may be pretty to look at but if that’s the main interest there’s easier birds to raise. Especially in a colder climate.
If you’re truly not interested in the “game” factor I sure wouldn’t bother at all. A few mistakes and they aren’t pretty for long.

I struggled with a lot losses on my whites.. I was down to a pair and they werent my first choice.. this last batch is a little small for my liking.. but I am going to breed them back to some strong hatchs next year and setup new white brood pair.
