Show Off Your Games!

Yep the Mad games from Ideal started as some great seed stock, but friends who have them say they have layer breed in them now it seems. There are some good Mad. breeders out there, I'll see if I can find some info...

This is an interesting thread. The photos are lovely!

I'm new to game chickens. My husband's father raised them when my husband was a boy, so he's always had a fondness for them. I must admit that without knowing anything about them other than the negative stuff that centers around the associated illegal activities, I was anxious at first. But after raising some Asils, I've come to appreciate their beauty and intelligence. Currently, we have some Shamos and Cubalayas in the brooder. Maybe I'll have some photos to add someday.

I just been back throught this whole thread this morning! Cant get enough of the pics of these great birds you guys have. I have to get another camera so I can take some pics!!

My Sweater passed away a week ago

The good thing is I got 2 stags and 2 pullets from him. Still sad though I had him for a while. The nails were clipped too short and I think he bled to death. I didn't realize it till I got home from work the next day.

Thanks CWC.. I still can't believe he died like that. He was a very strong Roo. His sons are 6 months old pretty big in size but they will take a while to get as full and feathered as the dad, but your right at least I do have them. His dad was very pricey and worth every cent too.

My Rooster is molting righ now so heis tail feather is still pretty stubby- I like all my chickens but the games are always my favorites. I'm debating on letting them start to free range some but still apprehensive. I'd hate to try to catch them if they decided not to come back int he coop by themselves!! LOL I'm just about to stove up and fat to be climbing up in trees trying to catch chickens!!
