The place she came from the guy didn't know- She was the only one and the other 57 chickens were barred rocks and Rir!! LOL She was given to me and in my case it doesn't make any difference - I don't sell chickens and I would always tell somebody that I don't know exactly what they are even if I did. She is pretty though isn't she? She has a very full tail but doesn't have any of the curved feathers like I saw on some of the phoenix hens pics I saw on feathersite. I would say she's about the same size as a leghorn. Maybe 3.5 to 4 lbs. I didn't notice any spurs on her.
I volunteered and went and helped a friend pick up those 50 + chickens which somebody had given him. She was the only one like her there and I kept on hinting to him so he end up giving her to me!! LOL

Hmmm...I dont know as Im not experienced with jungle fowl at all..If they were American games I would say that you made quite a deal but you have to be careful with that one cause like the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" I usually sell a two way cross stag for 75-150...Make sure you keep them seperated a good while before bringing them near your others.

As long as you like her, doesnt matter what she is technically...She is beautiful ^^ I would have given her a home as well.

Fibromelanotic game project rooster.
His mother was a spangled asil.
Daddy was a cross between game and longtail, and was fibromelanotic as well. this rooster, not having blue legs, does not express his one copy of Fm very much. I am breeding him back to a game hen and will continue to do so, creating dark game chickens eventually.
