Searching the net this is all of the information I have ever found on the Thompson whites.. THOMPSON WHITE: Originator, Thompson, Okla. Bloodlines: White Dr. Hutchinson Cock X white Australian hens.

I know there are a lot of Thompson white's about, they're one of the best white bloodlines if not "the best" (I believe no one line is the best truthfully, but when people speak of good white fowl Thompson white's are just about always the name to follow). From what I understand the hard part is making sure you are getting the real stuff, and then the only thing you can go by on that is trusting the breeder since no one else would truly know unless there were characteristics that proved otherwise.

As for how they look, when I think Thompson's I imagine a white medium sized rooster, with a single comb, white or yellow legs, with red and black streaks all over him. But there are variations in color for sure..

I will post a picture of mine next weekend when I get them. I think the male is around 1 month old and the female I will be getting is around 1 year old. The stock I am getting mine from are all white feathers, white beak, and white feet. They also have the single comb.

What game birds have a green legs? I bought three chicks from an old farmer and he said that they were game birds. They are a Wheaten color with green legs...

Given your description, I would image they're hatch hens which can come wheaten/BBred coloration. Though the most common hatch color probably is BBRed like the ones posted above.

Thay look like the two in the last pic with yellow legs but theirs are green... Are they stags or pullets?
