I've got a pair of Shamos due to arrive at about tomorrow morning or noon. . . I'm SO excited that I will finally be able to participate in this thread and not just stalk and lurk around in it. . .
I'll be sure to post pics when they arrive. Because we live in a temperate rainforest, and the temperature usually hovers at 40-50 degrees but it is always raining here, we've got a heat lamp prepped in their new coop, as they're coming from south California. Pretty sure they'll be cold!
I'm getting them from sleepy. He raises Ga Noi and O-Shamos. I believe he also once had Madagascars, or at least I saw a splash one on the Ga Noi website. . . Gorgeous pullet.
The pair is basically a sex-linked wheaten coloring, the male being a dom/barred wheaten, female wheaten. Together they'll make for dom wheatens. (Barred Wheatens)
Or is it BBR in Shamos?
I know it is called BBR with Malays, Old English, and such. . . . I'm honestly used to the BBR that Araucanas come in.
