Here is one of his girls, the Mad Hatter Hen. Pretty sure she is OEG bantam.

And one of there sons, Black Jack the only one that turned out grey. The others were more reddish like mamma.

yesterday game chicks had hatched, and were curiously eyeing me from under their mom. yay! the best part is now since helped babies get out of nest box, they are so cheerfull and fearless, but when sleepy, alls i see is mamma waddling around with peeps being heard here and there, as well as extra legs dangling or trying to stand and walk/hop around. the rooster was trying to eat them at first, but the hen had enough chasing him and after she squawked, the other hens came up, and he hasnt looked at them besides with curiousity from afar since. the rosecomb roo is being a good guy right from start though as digging around furiously, for food for the new babies and trying to brood over them and collect them under himself. i can keep the tiny rosecomb by the huge, what neighbor says looks like her gpa's sweaters, but have to watch and make ure rosecob doesnt get trapped and hurt or worse, but the rosecomb just has times when he would rather be out with the big thing, than be caged. the big roo did try to turn on me though last night after dark.
