They are cute and will be fun no matter what they turn out to be. They're just little snuggler wugglers.

I have no idea. Could you raise it like you do your doves?I found a robin fledgling in the aviary today.... It's parents were freaking out so I went to check it out and the robin fledgling had jumped over the metal and through the wire but the parents couldn't get through. I took it out and put it in some Lilacs close to the aviary. Is there something more I should do?
Very interesting that the little blueberry webbed child did not like the air purifier. Do you now have to keep it off at night so she can sleep better? She had her head straight up and was looking around trying to find whatever it was that was freaking her out, and making "mommy, where are you" trill sounds. She didn't stop when I held her, so I had to scramble to figure out what the heck it was that was bothering her, and sure enough, when I turned off the air purifier she calmed right down.
Wait, three eggs? Did you get more? I know you picked up one after you lost the first two, but I didn't know you had three!
Oh, darn. Ur right. I didn't even consider that.Quote:
They eat worms though.... not dove food.
you're welcome. I'd love to see other pics of that property. It's great you are enjoying the lilacs this time of year. We have to soak up spring so much since it's so fleeting. I have had ostrich meat before and it was good. Different than chicken, turkey and duck. Is emu like ostrich? Do you have to avoid bonding with the bird(s) that you are gonna butcher?Quote:
Do you mean keep forever? Because I am keeping 2 and one I will butcher. Or I am keeping 1 and butchering two. I havnt decided yet. The emus for butcher will live in the corn field behind my house. I normally just plant something fun in it like Indian corn or something so It wont be a big deal to instead use it as a emu pen. The ones that aren't for meat will sleep in the field with the other but when I am home be with me outside working or doing whatever so they don't become mean or anything. Thanks for the compliment on my yard! It is A LOT bigger than the part you saw. I have to take a pic of the front of my property along the road tonight. My entire property is surrounded my lilacs and now that they are in bloom it is just stunning.
