Show off your house ducks!

My Party Fowl diaper still hasn't arrived. :/ She said it shipped last Tuesday, but the tracker says it just left IL today. So she lied. ._. At this rate she'll already be too big to use it by the time it gets here!

I made some booties/socks for my ducks, Misty started to get two bumbles on her left foot so I thought I'd make them to help pad it, then got to making some for my other ducks who have had bumbles for awhile (slowly healing). I thought you guys might like to see them. This one was my first attempt. It could use some improvements, but I'd say it was a good first try! And here is my second and third attempt with Poppy (one of my outside ducks) Modeling them Now I just need to get some neoprene material to make them waterproof and better at keeping the foot clean if there is an open wound.
Those are awesome! :)

Shipping tracking isn't always in real time. Sometimes it'll take till the next day till it updates. Hope you get your order soon, sucks having to wait.

Bummer that the diaper didnt arrive :( it could have been an issue with the post office too. I say that only because as a small biz, Ive had the random issue with the post office loosing things or if theres any sort of issue, it mightvw mightve been returned to her, causing a delay. I dont know for sure with her but just sayin it happens, lol. 3 weeks ago I shipped a custom trifold wallet i made priority with tracking and insurance to Missouri and it ended up in hawaii, took 10 days to get to its real destination and the post office basically said, "well tough, accidents happen" I wish they und er stood it isnt that easy!! Lol

Well, this seller has a history of shipping late, though. I still think she lied because she wouldn't even give me a tracking number until Monday. So she waited 8 days AFTER she told me it had already shipped to actually ship the item. It's a shame.

From here on out I'm sticking to Sew Sammi!

Oh my goodness those lil booties are too darn cute! We have hard wood floors and it seems to bother Deema from time to time, she limps every now and then for a day but seems to go back to normal but I bet those would help!

I have a question on egg laying....my duck started laying on my b day, Aug 20 this year, and had 1 egg every day. Then today, no egg! Is that normal to miss a day? I just dont want uer to be bound but from what Ive read, Id be able to tell. That would be painful and obvious, right?

Final post, lol, it seems to be general consensus that dicks cant be litter / potty trained. BUT when Deema has an accident in the house, when her diaper is either in the wash or drying, she goes in the same spot. If she can find her "spot" every time, isn't it possible to train her to go in a box instead? Shes pretty young so I might try it out but what would be good for litter? She eats paper towels and cardboard every chance she gets so those wont work, lol! Cat litter os a no go as shed surely eat it too..... not sure but what suggestions are out there if any??
Shes really aware when she does go and seems almost ashamed, like shes knows shes to poop in her diaper or she even sits by the door and squaks like a dog! Lol

OMG!! Wow yeah that is a bit on the shady side! So much for trying to defend that one, lol!!

Sucks too, 'cuz I don't know where else to buy neoprene booties. I just got finished having hardwood floors installed and I want to get Wobbles some so she can walk on it without slipping! She also needs diapers so badly. :/ I don't know what to do. She can't go on living in a box when she's inside the house.

I dunno what to tell you about your house-training endeavors, I've never even heard of a duck having a favorite poop spot! As for being egg bound, I doubt it. It's common for ducks not to lay every single day. If she were egg bound you'd see it in her behavior, she'd be acting strange, crouching, straining, etc. and when palpitated you'd feel the hard lumps in her belly.
