He is bigger than I expected but only weighs 2lbs! Just the one boy. I was hoping for twin girls but I honestly am just relieved nothing went wrong. I was pretty stressed about it because I kept reading all these horror stories.

I am thankful it went smoothly for you all. I know the feeling leading up to kidding especially reading all the experiences on TGS. I was one of those experiences a few years ago, sadly.

I'm sorry to hear that. Ranching is definitely not for the faint of heart. I've toughened up these last few years, for sure.

As with cockerels, what are the plans for the buckling?

I thought about goats for milk and meat..... until I met a bottle buckling and realized how difficult it would be to harvest... so stinking cute

omg he is beautiful and perfect!! You can make him a wether (what do they call gelded goats?) and he can be a guard goat! to help the doggo out (this is what gelded sheep do for the flock)
