The other baby is out! Poor guy, Milkshake was TERRIFIED of him at first and now tries to peck at him. He's much lighter than Milkshake, his peeps aren't as high-pitched and he has a bright yellow dot under his chin. <3 He had a lot more trouble getting out so he's not as strong as Shakes, but hopefully as the day goes on he'll get stronger. I got two babies!

We'll find out at the vet! Ann never taught me how to vent sex, sadly. But maybe I can get some pointers watching her do it. AND they're also taking blood samples for gene testing so there won't be any margin of error, kinda hard to miss a Y-chromosome!

A bit of sad news though, Oregon U got back to me and said no to my request to try Wobbles out as a mascot. They said that The Duck is trademarked, and Wobbles obviously is not, so they cannot legally use him as a promotional tool.

That won't stop me, though. I'm gonna make him a green vest and upload a video, hopefully it'll go viral

I'll take lotsa photos for you Julie, I promise! The poor lil' guy, it's too cute...he was squished up in that shell unable to move for so long, his tail feathers are curled off to one side! It looks like he has a lil' round, lopsided butt because of it

Those little tails straighten out after a while - he was just a healthy big boy in a teeny weenie egg!

You can kinda see it in this video, he's the one on the left - I had to take it with my crappy gameboy again so the details may be hard to make out. Grumble. You can also see a bizarre behavior I discovered - Milkshake likes to swing her head from side to side so she can examine things in front of her with both eyes! I guess when we call her "Shakey" she got the wrong idea!
