WELP, TODAY JUST KEEPS GETTIN' BETTER AND BETTER! So not only did Wobbles tear out one of her primary wing blood feathers this morning, but an hour ago while I was taking a nap she somehow wrenched off the ball bearing in my ear gauge, and swallowed it.

Thankfully it's tiny and made of surgical steel, no copper or zinc whatsoever (I called ten different piercers to confirm) so tomorrow we're gonna get her an xray to make sure it's passed. First Wobbles gets his stupid bill stuck in my USB port, now this. I feel horrible! I'm a bad duck mama...

I bet it will be hard and I don't judge you at all for raising it and butchering it. I eat meat myself but have never hunted nor been around animals raised for consumption. Since it is not something I have been exposed to in my life I try not to think about it. But there are people who do it and I have to admit that at least it's more pure than what you buy at the store sometimes.

HOW did he get his bill stuck in your usb port?!! Cocoa Bean swallowed a ball bearing. You can't blame yourself. These little webbed children have minds of their own. I am incredulous. You are not a bad duck mama at all. Birds are nuts when it comes to doing stupid things. Mine do dumb stuff a lot and I have to chase them off stuff or cover it for their safety. They just don't know no better. The other day going to work, 2 Canada geese started wandering into the road and I slowed down and honked at them to get them off the road. Thankfully they did wander back to safety.

Let us know how little Cocoa Bean's X-ray goes. I hope she is ok.

I honestly have no idea why he thought it'd be a good idea. But who knows, when I was ten I stuck my finger in a light socket and I still don't know my motives on that one.

Bean is still at the hospital, we just dropped her off and we'll know the results when we go get her around 6. I'm hoping that she passed it and I somehow just missed it. Although that's the best-case scenario, I admit I'll be a bit nonplussed if it turns out I've been putting poop through a sieve for the past 18 hours for nothing! :p

There's our answer re Wobbles. He is a child too. And then why did he pull out one of Bean's feathers? Naughty bird.

I am glad the little girl is in safe hands. It will be good to find out the results. I hope she didn't swallow it after all but you had to be certain so u did the right thing.
