I just brought home these 2 month old runner drakes. They're so cute!! They weren't handled as babies do they're really shy, but I'm hoping I got them young enough to change that! Still working on names- my 4 year old picked out Raisin and Hiccup and I may agree with her!

Welcome to BYC @TeresainSeattle , your ducklings are beautiful . Is that Blue and Chocolate for the Runners? Cocoa would be cute. I don't have a chocolate but I have 2 blues 3 blacks and 1 silver. Love your KC too. My Runners hatched with 2 Buffs and they all cannot stand be out of each other sight and they will be a year old end of May.

Oh my goodness!!! The runners we got first and had a day just the two of them, and then got the other two. they are funny how they stay with their 'own' when they hang out. The all cuddle to sleep but the same breeds stay close with eachother. Love them all.. they are starting to get more attached.. taking a bit as they would always run from me <3 My husband says I'm creating Monsters and will regret all the cuddles.. :)

I am working with mine to get them not so skiddish. My Muscovy's hatched mine so I was not hands on when they were hatched. So now every evening after all the Muscovy's, chickens and geese have gone to bed I sit with my Runners and Buffs with meal worms. So far one of the girls will eat out of my hand the rest will get close. It's a work in progress. I have the Muscovy's and they stick together then I have the Runners and Buffs and they stick together. Except my Runner drake really likes the Muscovy girls

I'm not sure if the one is a choc but she did look a bid black/charcoal as a baby and kind of goes from darkish to greyish.. and the grey one was not grey as a baby and she is getting lighter as she ages. :) My dog has taken on the duty of surrogate Mother and she stresses any time they are separated or yelling. :) All my animals love eachother and live peacefully within the family, 2 cats, 3 chickens, 2 dogs, and now 4 ducks :)
