These are my sweet little silver duckwing oegb
Beautiful birds. I love the silver duckwing coloration. We lost our little roo accidently two weeks ago so we put some eggs in the incubator post mortem hoping they will hatch. If not, guess we'll be looking for another cockerel next spring, but he has big shoes to fill. Our guy had to have the last word on everything, was afraid of nothing but really friendly. He would follow us around, liked to be carried, and would jump on the door to the coop so he could get a swinging ride as we opened and closed it. Of course that had to be the one we lost.

I went out this morning and looked at my little hens and they are all definitely all silver duckwings as is the rooster.  Does this mean that all progeny will be silver duckwings?

They can all be SDW in appearance yet carry other genetics as well. Always exciting to breed a new pair of birds and see what you get.

@jophus how're your little lemon blues doing?

I lost my brassy back roo, do you know what I could breed with my blue brassy hens without messing up colors?
