Go Jace! Go Jace!

The still-air styro that I used as a hatcher was sooo quiet. Never heard internal cheeping like that in the Brinsea, but the Brinsea was still humming behind me :) 9 more days, do it all again

She is on day 12 already, this is SO much less stressful.... Not as exciting though. Might candle today when she gets off to eat. Funny thing is she does it when I come, and no sooner!

And again, again, and again.... :highfive:

:lau You and I just pulled an all nighter at EASTER! What Bator did you use for this hatch?

The Incuview. Laying was sparse early on so I just set eggs weekly. Laying has really picked up, plus I set a dozen Swedish flower hen eggs that I bought. If I'll these eggs hatch over the next three weeks I'll be in trouble. I've had to break out my little giant, and have stuff on the way to build another incubator and a bigger hatcher.

All 4 of my little SDWs hatched! :celebrate

700

Congrats. SDWs are fun to raise. They have a lot of personality.

They are really becoming my favorites! Sweetest and friendliest chicks I have for sure.

Last 3 or 4 days here have been cool/cold after several really nice days. These cooler days have really dropped off egg production!

I raised SDWs for a while, had some nice ones but just couldn't keep everything. Chicken math is hard.

Is it true that the darker colored ones are more likely females? All 4 of my new ones have pretty dark brown heads. And eyeliner too!

Hatched all 4 of the eggs I had in the hatcher this weekend. 2 blacks, a lemon blue and a probable lemon black.

I love black beaks!
